On tighter in town lots, vertical boreholes put the same loop field under a small footprint, drilled in days.
The strongest candidates heat with propane, oil, or baseboards, or face replacing a furnace and air conditioner at once. Ground source costs more up front and earns it back over decades, and we will walk through that math honestly, including when it argues against switching.
